It’s October, which meant 2 things;
That these photos have been gathering dust in my enormous photo folders for 6 months,
And that it is the time of the year when I start looking back and wonder if I have accomplished anything of worth for the past 10 months.
Truth be told, all the emotions rolled up into one huge amalgam of a confused state that I couldn’t remember much about last week, let alone the past 10 months. It is weird if so, that I remember precisely how the styling of this outfit came together.
It begins with palazzo pants and obi belts. For the longest time, the mentioning of palazzo pants, especially done in cotton jersey, brings to mind an image of boho travelers in Asia armed with their trusty backpacks and sandals. While there is certainly nothing wrong with that, heck these questionable pants were so comfy, it just wasn’t the sartorial choice I would walk out of the door with. However this particular pair has a thick waist band, a real game changer. The effect is reminiscent of an obi belt, which clinched your waist and pulls the outfit together. An avid believer in the power of styling, I finish off this casual assemble with classic black pointed stiletto and very minimal jewelry to bring it from leisure to smart.
Another thing that is for certain, when these photos were taken it was my first time visiting Notting Hill after 3 years of saying I would as well as meeting up with a very close friend after 3 years being half a world apart.
Photos taken by Esther and edited by your truly.
